New renderings have been revealed of the proposed stadium for Minnesota’s very own MLS team, Minnesota United. The proposed site for the stadium is in the Midway right off of St. Anthony Avenue and Snelling. The stadium has been designed by the same people that designed Target Field and TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, a Kansas city based firm called Populous. It would have a all-natural grass field. With the current plans no seat in the entire stadium would be further than 125 feet from the field ensuring great views of the game no matter where your seats are. The proposed cost of the stadium is a cool $150 million which is slightly more expensive than the original proposed $120 million. People are very excited about the proposal as it will help revitalize an older area of St. Paul and hopefully bring in lots of money to city. It’s also nice to note that green line of the light rail stops conveniently, just blocks away from the stadium.
